JCDecaux are one of the worlds leading outdoor advertising companies, providing high profile outdoor real estate for advertising.

The challenge.

As I’m sure you can imagine, we were extremely excited when JCDecaux came to us looking for a fully responsive, customisable Mailchimp template. The JCDecaux team had already put together a fantastic design; our task was to build it in HTML, making it as easy to use in Mailchimp as we possibly could.

The solution.

This was going to be the template that the JCDecaux marketing team used as their weekly newsletter; therefore making the template fully customisable was key.

After coding the template and ensuring that it was responsive in all major email clients. The team then switched focus to the overall functionality of the template within Mailchimp. We came to the conclusion that instead of just creating a template with fixed content areas, we wanted to provide a more dynamic solution. Allowing them to choose which colour schemes, buttons and content areas to use within a couple of clicks.

The results.

JCDecaux are still using the same template, expressing on multiple occasions how happy they are with it. We are also discussing the possibility of a more in-depth reporting service for their campaigns.
